We meet with you, the client, on site, to listen to your ideas, and discuss your dreams and desires for your ideal outdoor space.resulting in the creation of gorgeous landscaping that meets the needs & desires of the property owner.
The Landscape Design Plans Are Subsequently Drawn Up, & Include:
HARD LANDSCAPE FEATURES
paths, walls, driveways, raised beds, water features, swimming pools, hot tubs, sitting areas, patios and decking.
STRUCTURES
outdoor kitchens, pergolas, sheds, arbours, raised patios and recreation zones.
LANDSCAPE PLANTS
plants, shrubs, flowers and trees themselves, with consideration for their horticultural requirements, their seasonal interest, growth habit, size and combinations with other plants and landscape features.
Key considerations
Key considerations Sykes designs include how the garden will be used, the preferred stylistic genre (formal or informal, modern or traditional etc.), and the way the outdoor space will connect to the home or other structures. All of these considerations are subject to the limitations of the prescribed budget.

Introductory Consultation
Our landscape designers connect with you to discuss your wants, needs and vision of the project. This includes: Determining the purpose of the space Your style preferences Likes and dislikes Budget paramenters, Special considerations such as existing structures Topography Climate Other essential aspects of the landscape design process Our landscape design packages are discussed at this first meeting, and will reflect on the scope of the project.
Site Inspection & Analysis
Our landscape designers connect with you to discuss your wants, needs and vision of the project. This includes determining the purpose of the space, your style preferences, likes and dislikes, the budget paramenters, and any special considerations such as existing structures, topography, climate and other essential aspects of the landscape design process. Our landscape design packages are discussed at this first meeting, and will reflect on the scope of the project.
Concept Design
The designer will develop a concept or plan for the landscape, taking into account the ideas generated in the first step and the information gathered in the second step. Particular attention is given to sourcing materials and products that adhere with the design and character of the home. This concept will be presented to you, where your questions are addressed for feedback and revisions.
Design Development
Based on the approved concept design, the designer develops a more detailed landscape design plan that includes specific plant selections, drainage, grading and material specifications for hardscaping elements. Using the latest digital software, designs can include 3D modeling, to help visualize the entire proposed layout.
Presentation
Your bespoke landscape design will be presented to you in detail, by our designers, either in person, or remotely, as preferred.
Timelines vary depending on the time of year and the complexity of the project.
Installation
Once the final design is agreed on, and considerations for pricing and scheduling are met, we issue a detailed contract for signature, this will include payment terms, construction schedule and warranty, making our collaboration official, and your project installation is booked.
Follow up
We provide a professional and high-quality service, from the initial consultation to the final construction, ensuring that we exceed your expectations and that the project is completed to the highest standards. In addition, we provide access to post installation follow-up visits by our team, to ensure your satisfaction and delight throughout the seasons and years ahead.
